Windows Backup users have been switching backup provider following the lack of updates from Windows and the failure to improve their poor Windows backup system. In the last two years, hundreds of firms led by a few market pioneers have entered the world of backup but all this time the Windows backup system hasn’t been updated to rival modern backup systems. The current Windows Backup system is entirely offline and offers the most basic form of backup whereby users can copy files onto a backup drive. External hard drives will not protect your files in the event of a fire of other natural disaster, and it certainly will not be as quick as the new online backup services which put the windows backup system to shame. Windows backup users tend to be very loyal and stick with their company however it is hard to ignore the far superior benefits of Windows backup’s rival systems and it has resulted in users leaving the Windows backup system behind. All is not lost for Windows as they have released details of their new online Windows backup system which will be released with Windows 8, however only time will tell whether Windows users wait and see if it is worth it.
