Posted: Monday 16th April 2012

Everyone knows how popular Windows is as an operating system, but few know just how popular it is -88% of all computer users to be exact. With this level of market dominance, it is worrying that there is no up-to-date Windows Backup system in place – but don’t let that put you Windows users off a suitable Windows backup system – find an alternative. Windows backup alternatives have been around for a while now and are multiplying like bacteria, so just because the default Windows backup system is useless, Windows users should still seek a suitable backup system as it is too dangerous to be without one. The number of Windows user is also set to increase when their new operating system, Windows 8, comes out later this year, and luckily there is expected to be a Windows backup update with this release. It is imperative that Windows address their windows backup issues, as when Windows 8 is released it could well be the last opportunity that Windows have to impress their users. Windows backup certainly has its competitors in the form of Apple’s File Vault, as well as optional hard ware in the form of the Time Capsule, and having said that surely Windows cannot afford to slack with such threatening competition?
